The IBM MQ Console for configuring and managing the MQ environment is delivered with the IBM MQ Appliance. IBM MQ Console can be used in place of, or alongside, the existing IBM MQ Explorer tooling or MQ Script Commands (MQSC). IBM MQ Console is a customizable web UI that enables users to configure and monitor IBM MQ without needing to install an executable program such as MQ Explorer. Access to controls and information is restricted by user roles and is limited to the appliance to which the user connects the IBM MQ Console. This capability delivers powerful and flexible tooling for users of the IBM MQ Appliance.
IBM intends to add support to enable the IBM MQ Console to configure and monitor IBM MQ as well as the IBM MQ Appliance. IBM intends to allow MQ administrators to make more effective use of the IBM MQ Console in environments in which both IBM MQ and the IBM MQ Appliance are installed.
